Thank you all for your comments. The fact that there is such good feedback is further evidence of the strength of the community. I was fantastic to meet Sam and to see Mike again.

And for those kids that couldn't make it, I am glad that our camp scrapbook gave you a window into the experience.

The great thing is that camp can continue again and again. Unlike Camp Keystone which I 1)outgrew and 2) is now the home to some beautiful lakefront condos.

Hi Jessica,

Thank you, thank you for your contribution in organizing this event. This was an awesome recap and summary of the experience. I was so happy to be able to attend the event in person (I was very lucky). Also, I was delighted to meet you and so many others!

I look forward to the next one!

What a great article Jessica. You really did a great job of capturing the parallels of a real camp experience with the Event Camp.

This event was absolutely amazing, for one, very important reason... The People!

It was sad that we were missing key people such as Lara and Midori, but at least through virtual channels we were able to connect with them. I know that you and Christina worked very hard in getting this program organized and thanks for inviting me to be part of the planning team. It was truly a great experience, and now we just need to figure out how to keep it going!

Congrats on a great job as our leader!

Jessica, awesome recap of a great event! The content and engagement were so good, it wasn't boring to participate virtually. That hasn't happened for me for a long time. Usually I find myself checking out or at a minimum multi tasking. For Event Camp, I was afraid to leave my computer cuz I might miss something. The live streaming combined with a very active backchannel delivered that one, two punch for us virtual participants.

Thank you!

Worse than the goodbyes were the kids who never got to go to camp. That would be me (at least for Event Camp). What WAS pretty amazing was being able to see all of the swimming, singing and frolicking that went on while watching remotely from my living room. Sure, it wasn't like feeling the fresh, cool splash of water myself...but it was the next best thing. Thank you and the rest of the #ec10 team for making us less-fortunate kids get a taste of camp life :)
