Scvngrs, White Space and Weaves: Meetings 3.0

Modern meetings have become more complex than feeding delegates and arranging tables – the modern planner (Planner 3.0) must now be an expert on adult education theory, sustainability, complex legal issues, social networking and diversity in a global world. Terms like Scvngr and White Space are permeating our vocabulary, but what do they mean? Meeting organizers are facing a strong demand from delegates to provide value while reducing costs; technology is playing a bigger role than ever before. What does the meeting of tomorrow look like and how can you prepare to provide your attendees with the type of meetings that they need? (Venues and suppliers will also benefit from this session as they play an integral role in shaping meeting design.)

This session will allow attendees to hear what peers are doing and will allow time to dream up the ideal meeting of the future: Meeting 3.0

• Identify at least four of the most pressing issues that must be considered in association meeting planning for the next decade.
• Obtain and critical pieces of information from global research projects conducted in this area.
• Interpret and apply this information to their own meeting programs.
