Carlos Moreno

Carlos MorenoIn addition to his role as Content Producer for Seven Degrees Communications, Carlos is an online adjunct instructor for universities in New Mexico and Missouri, teaching a variety of communication courses including writing, public speaking and interpersonal communication. His passion, however, lies in visual storytelling.

When he’s not grading papers, tapping on a keyboard or interviewing someone, he’s out with his cameras making stories come alive.

From his earliest days as a photojournalist along the Texas border, New Mexico and Arizona for Carlos has documented tragedy, triumph and everyday life. After 10 years of photojournalism, Carlos transitioned into working independently as a freelance photographer focusing on modeling, commercial clients, and sports imaging.

Along the way, he started a video production company and has been creating videos for commercial and non-profit clients for nearly 20 years while still working as a freelance photographer. As a writer, he has been published in a variety of newspapers, magazines and blogs in addition to teaching students the ins and outs of writing for the mass media. Furthermore, Carlos spends a small chunk of his time doing graphic design work and consulting on a variety of digital and technical concerns.

This medley of content creation skills uniquely prepares him for a fast-paced environment where deadlines, flexibility and efficiency matter. Carlos enjoys a challenge and is especially adept at working on tight budgets and quick turn-around times.

Carlos has three academic degrees and tells people he is often the most educated person in the room but is rarely the smartest.
